Stowe’s "Dream House" finds new owners! HGTV’s 2011 Dream House at Spruce Peak in the Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont was sold in April this year, overseen by Stowe Vermont real estate broker Susi Benoit. The original winners of the home in 2011, Eric and Catherine Makstenieks, sold the home for 2.7 million to an active family of seven. This is a second home for the Boston family who aquired it in the hopes of making new joyful memories in Stowe. They’ve five children between the ages of 10 months and 9 years and they all ski except the youngest, making this mountain location an optimal fit. They already have some enhancements in mind, the most notable being the addition of a fourth bedroom over the garage to fit their family needs. In addition to the mountain views, they appreciate the existing open floor plan, which will allow for plenty of family interaction, bonding, comfort, and growth.
Their home was constructed by Gristmill Builders of Stowe and is finished with luxury appliances materials and high end funiture all included for the winning family. The house overlooks Stowe Resorts first class ski slopes and is minutes from the striking Stowe Village.
